H-Town Quesada Espana Lancero

Like many of life’s great ideas, this one started over a fine beverage shared between friends. Stogies co-owner Jorge Ahued and the great Manuel “Manolo”  Quesada agreed to collaborate on a new edition of the elusive España Lancero for the growing H-Town Lancero series, and the rest, as they say, is history.

While the wrapper gives off very little aroma, the foot offers an enticingly sweet but strong mixture of chocolate, brown sugar, and burnt coffee, the latter of which carries over to the cold draw, where it’s also joined by some aggressive black pepper.

These flavors all come out to play upon lighting, as the cigar grows warmer, woodier, and more citrus-heavy with each passing inch. At about the half-way mark, the H-Town Quesada España Lancero becomes noticeably more full-bodied, as the spicier notes begin to take over and the intensity ratchets up.

Smokers who want to pair the H-Town Quesada España Lancero with a beverage can go one of two ways, 1) compliment the flavor profile with a blended scotch or a nice cup of coffee, or; 2) let this full-bodied beauty do its thing and stay refreshed with a nice light beer.
